Position Summary

The Head of Payment Setup is responsible for ensuring the payment providers setup process is completed timely and accurately for both providers and White Labels clients (onboarding and live clients). The Payment Product owner also manages a team of payments analysts and system staff and works closely with the finance and compliance departments to optimize processes.

Key Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze data and performances of each payment method
  • Ongoing market research for the company’s licensed jurisdictions. Make sure that we have ongoing market analysis to ensure we are competitive
  • Recruiting and managing a team of payments analysts and system staff under her, maintaining knowledge of the team
  • Monthly reporting based on KPIs in the monthly Operations meeting, including in-depth analysis on market changes and trends
  • Maintaining curacao licenses and migrations including successful deployment of new payment methods across multiple licenses
  • Constant monitoring of payment processors’ performances and making sure that the declined ratio is acceptable. If not, offer solutions to improve the ratio based on client strategy and options
  • Working to make sure all and crucial payment solutions have always at least one backup integrated
  • Making sure we obtain competitive pricing for all services
  • Reviewing contracts with current service providers and obtaining/renegotiating competitive pricing
  • Work with Account managers bringing new options to solve/improve any payment related issues
  • Liaising with payment service providers
  • Evaluating payment methods for new markets and integration process with current aggregators
  • Advice on possible website/payment gateway improvements
  • Follow up on analysis and make sure improvements are realized via Front and Back End platform development
  • Working closely together with Front and Back end development teams for required releases on the platform for various White Labels.
  • Finding, analyzing, and solving performance issues with payment methods.
  • Communicating with Payment gateways.
  • Dealing with sensitive information such as API keys and passwords.
  • Ensure that all information of confidential nature is held in a secure and confidential method.
  • Create and adjust routing rules, fallback rules according to the client’s needs
  • Assist clients in reducing their fraud ratio related to payment processing management.
  • Assist and advise clients for any payment processing-related matter.
  • Liaise with Finance and Compliance departments for any payment-related matters.
  • Communicate/advise clients regarding their payment set up along with the Account Managers.
  • Make sure all procedures and processes are documented that are in line with the listed duties.
  • Update/upgrade documentation to make sure information is always the latest.
  • Communication closely with the rest of the Payments Team and White Label Operations regarding payment methods set up and compliance.
  • Daily testing of payment methods.
  • Provide test accounts for each payment method.
