Position Summary

Ensures that sufficient resources are available to meet customer demands.

Responsibility of resource planning and capacity, to develop platform technology, meet customer needs and cater for future requirements. Understands how the business operates and plans for future capacity requirements. Undertakes planning activities with internal stakeholders to ensure targets are met. Optimizes the development process to improve lead-times and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse appropriate information and data in order to prepare schedules, plans and forecasts
  • Create capacity plans which meet business targets and optimise Front and Back-end development processes
  • Review systems and methods to continually improve the forecasting process in the Operating plan
  • Analyse job specifications and capacity to estimate resource requirements
  • Continually monitor and review plans and make appropriate adjustments in the event of changes and unforeseen circumstances
  • Review trends, research data and evaluate results to drive best practice results
  • Reconcile variances from original plans and maintain a view of actual against forecast projections
  • Continually review ways to improve the Front and Back-end development processes

Relationship Management

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and obtain appropriate information required to prepare schedules, plans and forecasts
  • Liaise with account managers to establish existing and future demands
  • Communicate plans and forecasts to internal stakeholders and review plans to ensure efficient resource utilisation
  • Support meetings supplying relevant data, provide updates on plans and highlight concerns relating to actual or potential issues
  • Escalate any issues to Manager, particularly when there is a commitment risk to customer due to capacity constraints
  • Support change requests and prepare plans and forecasts in line with changes
  • Design and maintain capacity performance reports and statistics to share with internal stakeholders and provide information as required in relation to organisational metrics and updates

Skills and Attributes

  • Degree in Engineering or 5 years’ relevant experience in a capacity planning role, preferably within the Gaming industry
  • Good knowledge of front and back-end development processes and lead times
  • Experience or knowledge of statistics, forecasting and management information methods and techniques
  • Prior experience in building capacity or forecasting models
  • Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel and the ability to learn new software packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – additional language is a bonus
  • Able to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
  • Commercial and financial acumen with a strong understanding of the cost of failure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong numeracy, statistical and reporting skills with the ability to analyse, interpret and manage information, data and trends
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
  • Knowledge and experience of project management skills
  • Results orientated and able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
