About the role

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of our organization. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounts receivable and accounts payable and a knee interest in treasury operations. You will play a key role in supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.

What You’ll Do

  • Handle accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payment processing, and monitoring accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable functions, including vendor invoice posting and verification, payment processing, and maintaining records.
  • Performing bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliation items on an ongoing basis
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and financial procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to accounting and the gambling industry.
  • Provide support during external audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as an Accountant, with a strong focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Familiarity with the gambling industry and knowledge of relevant accounting practices is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and general ledger entries.
  • Exposure or interest in treasury.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work output.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
